2 I havent used this mod myself. It wont work if youre in Ostagar doing the warden recruitment quests. It caused bugs there so the author took that out.

I start the game and still have 4 party memebers with no dog. To disable simply uncheck the box. So i have been using the extra dog slot for many different playthroughs without any issue.

Then go back out to the main menu and load your save. Ok I installed it using DAmodder and it was successful. I blow the whistle the dog appears for a few seconds and then fades away.
